Program Requests

General Information

Education season is from October 1 – April 30.

All requests for programs should be made at least six (6) weeks in advance of the requested date. You must enter a specific date for your desired program.

Please advise the Liberty Wildlife Program Coordinator when contacted if there are any cultural sensitivities to particular animals (ie snakes or owls).

Classroom/Formal Presentations

These are programs with live wildlife and trained presenters at your school or other suitable location. Plan for approximately 45 minutes for presentations with time for questions at the end. For school groups, Liberty Wildlife Education is happy to provide programs for second grade classrooms and older. Due to resource constraints, we cannot conduct programs for kindergarten or first grade classes. Please discuss other situations with the Program Coordinator who contacts you.

Booth Setting

For your next civic event, invite in a few native animals – they will draw crowds of wildlife enthusiasts. Liberty Wildlife’s trained presenters will bring native Arizona species as well as a professional display and activities. Booths are best for 4 hour periods or less. For longer events, we can switch teams and animals after 4 hours. (Extra cost may apply)

Cost

In order to keep up with the expenses involved in the care of our animals as well as the transportation to our many programs, we have had to institute a fee of a minimum of $250 per program. If you have a larger event or more means amongst your group, larger donations are always welcome. If your school or group will have trouble reaching that amount, please submit the request and also send an e-mail to our program scheduler at laurah@libertywildlife.org to see what can be arranged.

Eagles are a higher level and we are limited on their usage so their program fee is $500. Eagle Scouts do have exceptions – see below for rules to have an eagle at an Eagle Scout Court of Honor.

Special Protocol for requesting an eagle for Eagle Scout Court of Honor

Thank you for your interest in Liberty Wildlife and our educational ambassador eagles. As you can imagine we have many requests for these eagles to appear at Eagle Scout Courts of Honor. Unfortunately we are not able to meet all of these requests. Below see a list of requirements that help us determine which of the requests we are able to fill. Please evaluate these stipulations with your particular situation in mind and continue with the request if your particular program meets the requirements.

Public Notice

Liberty Wildlife Cannot Take Ducks, Geese or Lovebirds at this time

Liberty Wildlife is following proper protocols and taking precautions to prevent the spread of the avian flu in our facility and the community. Currently, we have been advised to not take any waterfowl (ducks or geese) to help minimize exposure to other animals. East Valley Wildlife and Fallen Feathers are unable to take them as well. All waterfowl that are sick/injured should be transported to our partner Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG).
