Mercury is a prairie/peregrine falcon hybrid mix. Originally raised to be a falconry bird, Mercury’s original falconer passed away. Not a lot of information is known of his history during that time. Although prairie falcons and peregrine falcons cross paths in the wild, they do not typically breed on their own. Having been raised in captivity and imprinted on humans, Mercury is non-releasable.
