Liberty Wildlife doesn’t get a lot of reptiles for rehabilitation, but a few months ago, we got almost a year’s intake in one day! In a 24-hour period, over 20 desert tortoises arrived at the facility for our care. OK, they were all in excellent health, and they all came from one source, but still…!

Liberty Wildlife’s fall trainings began in September - classes in the education and medical services areas. There can’t be many such offerings around, learning to handle raptors and speak about their natural history to the public, or training to mend broken bones, give fluids, and medications to wildlife.  September 26, a perfect day by any estimation, was the scene of a "shootout," but there were no corrals or guns involved and the steeds were golf carts. Liberty Wildlife’s third annual golf tournament, held at Starfire Golf Club, was Western-themed this year and was a howling success.
