On a Friday in March the Chandler Aquatic Center called Liberty Wildlife’s hotline. They had discovered two nests tucked up underneath a giant water slide, and the nests held eggs. The whole arrangement was about twenty feet off the ground. This would require more than the average rescue!

Most of the educational birds at Liberty are trained to do one simple thing: educate the public, safely. They do this by working with their Education Group handlers in displaying their survival strategies, their place in the environment, and how they have evolved and adapted over the centuries. A few of them are also being trained to demonstrate their flying ability to appreciative audiences.
