Papago Park: Our New Home
Watch this site to keep up with the progress as we grow into our new home.
Liberty Wildlife is finally realizing its dream of relocating to Papago Park in a stunning, state-of-the-art, sustainable building. This move will enable us to better serve the needs of Arizona’s wildlife as well as the needs of the community. While remaining autonomous, Liberty Wildlife is partnering with the Phoenix Zoo to create a regional conservation and nature center in Papago Park. This new home will be a model of stewardship of nature - allowing us to continue our goal of nurturing the nature of Arizona.
Our new facility will allow us to do many things.
- Be open to the public
- Expand our services to the community and state, including rehabilitation of native species, natural history and conservation education, and science and conservation consultation
- Host on-site demonstrations, workshops, and speakers
- Collaborate with the Phoenix Zoo in educational endeavors both on-site and outreach
- Provide for expanded volunteer opportunities
- Offer youth volunteer opportunities
- Provide greater and easier access for the entire community needing help with wildlife issues and concerns

Our facility has been designed by RoTo Architects of Los Angeles. It emphasizes "green building" techniques, exemplifying ways to live and work in a desert environment while conserving resources in passive and "low-tech" ways.
